Die Lage schien aussichtslos zu sein, bis Moore eingriff und sich bereiterklärte, eine seiner Nieren zu spenden. Gottschalk wurde zu Beginn mit Dialysen behandelt, obwohl es sich dabei nur um eine Übergangslüsung handelte. Weil die Krankheit erblich ist, kam keiner seiner Verwandten als Spender in Frage. Hoffnunglos schien die Situation hauptsächlich wegen der langen Wartlisten auf einen Spender zu sein. Letztes Jahr meldete sich Moore und wollte sich testen lassen, ob seine Werte übereinstimmen würden. Obwohl Moore als potenzieller Spender geeingnet wäre, war das wegen seiner Diabetes nich realisierbar. Trotz aller Gegensprachen entschied sich Moore die Sache in eigene Hände zu nehmen: er versuchte viel Gewicht zu verlieren, um ein guter Spender zu werden. Er berichtete, dass er es nicht wegen sich getan hätte, da das Leben seines Freundes ein ausreichender Grund war, die Atkinsdiät zu befolgen und 25 Pfund an Gewicht zu verlieren. Er startete ein großes, anstrengendes Training, das er anschließend sogar bei Youtube als Aufmunterung für Gottschalk veröffentlichte. On Monday a study released by the National Sleep Foundation revealed that many Americans face sleeping problems due to longer workdays and an increase of the time spent working at home (3- 4 hours/week). If you think they are also trying to find time to spend with families, you can imagine how much sleep they actually get. It is a serious matter, especially if you work in a domain that is risky like a nuclear plant like the security guard at the Peach Bottom plant in south-central Pennsylvania. Besides other problems generated by an improper sleep are high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, heart diseases, low levels of HDL cholesterol. There is a trend in believing that smoking can be prevented if you succeed to stop teens from ever getting the bad habit. As a proof it is enough to read the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine for the Massachusetts study addressing the effects of smoking bans in public places. The study was led by Dr. Michael Siegel, of Boston University School of Public Health, who gave even a psychological approach. 2,791 children between ages 12 and 17 from all over Massachusetts states were under surveillance for four years and the conclusion was that 9 percent become regular smokers. Obviously the rate was higher in towns were smoking wasn’t banned from public places- since the study begun cities and towns made laws banning smoking in workplaces, bars or restaurants due to the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids. Many of the reasons were smoking parents or friends, but strong bans decreased with 40 percent the misfortune of becoming smoker. In 2004 in Massachusetts there was instated a smoking ban that led to a 3 percent decline in high school smoking rates. Sounds great, doesn’t it? Yet, restaurant owners did not think about children health and fearing that they might lose customers (therefore money) they opposed the banning. The good news is that no lesser than 23 states don’t allow smoking in public places. This is what the study denounces and many are against it and many support it. Poznala som jeden pár, boli svoji už niekoľko rokov a mali spolu tri nádherné dcéry. Zdalo sa, že sú s týmto počtom absolútne spokojní. Najmä vtedy, keď si otec neodpustil poznámku, aké to je, keď máte v domácnosti štyri osoby ženského pohlavia (neuveriteľne ťažké, najmä čo sa týka uspokojovania ich potrieb týkajúcich sa šatstva, make-upu, a vlastne všetkých tých záhadných vecí, ktoré každá žena potrebuje, aby sa naozaj cítila ako žena). A ich mama, nuž, tá bola presvedčená, že porodiť tri deti akéhokoľvek pohlavia bol obdivuhodný akt jej statočnosti a bola si úplne istá, že žiadne ďalšie tehotenstvo už neprichádza do úvahy.Lenže muž cítil, že mu niečo chýba.
