Moscow hit by worst heatwave in a millenium.

When you look at Google Earth and try to look closer at Moscow, there will be slight grey haze over the city. If you press the button claiming for the weather, temperature in this Northern part of the Europe will exceed 36 degrees. This all is but a glimpse of torture that more than 11 million people living in the city have to deal several weeks. The most extreme heatwawe hit the country and caused wildfires on thousands of thousands hectars of Russian countryside. Wind has finished the deadly theater bringing the clouds of smoke on the biggest Russian metropolis. Situation in the city is desperate, anyone who has a chance to leave, is doing so. Sunday broke the record on M! oscow airport with more than 104,000 passengers leaving that day. Normal passenger rate sums around 70,000. But not everyone is that lucky to leave the smoke and haze. People are protecting against the heat and smudge every possible way – the temperatures during the night still reach over 30 degrees, so many are sleeping on their balconies, wear masks and try to avoid of leaving homes. Hospitals are in the state of emergency and doctors are able to deal only with the most extreme cases, everyone else is sent back home. The conditions are according newspaper Kommersant daily, dramatic – temperatures exceed 30 degrees in the operating room. Exhausted from the heat are patients as well as doctors and medical staff. Here we come to the biggest and the worst surprise, official death toll has been released after several days of silence. Daily death rate in the city reaches up to 700 cases. In usual times it is around 360-380 people, so more than half of current situat! ion, said the head of the city's health department Andrei Selt! sovsky. Official information said that 1,300 out of 1,500 city morgues were occupied and soon there would be no place for the dead ones. The blame fall upon government that according public failed to shield people from the smoke even using the army and hiding official information from the world. Russia has been hit by the biggest heatwave in country's millenium-long history. The wildfires still take place on 174,000 hectares or Russian countryside.
