Blind doctors

Humans are the ultimate beings on the chain of evolution. We consider ourselves superiors to the animals because we have reason, conscience and we wear clothes. However, the so called reason we have instead of being an advantage is usually leading to our perdition. Apparently even the cures we invent can be deadly or at least destructive. The latest scandal involves the measles vaccine that is mostly used in USA and England. It is obscure that in countries like Romania, where children don’t usually receive the vaccine, there hasn’t been reported any death from the dreadful disease. According! to the British specialists 3 in 100 people who contracted the disease die if they have not received the vaccine. Thus it is imperious necessary for children to be vaccinated. Dr. Andrew Wakefield did a study- illegal or not it has no importance whatsoever- that showed the vaccine can cause autism. Instead of doing further research on the discovery and assure themselves that indeed the pharmaceutical cure is not faulty, the other doctors did their best to discredit Dr Wakefield. They even went as far as withdrawing his medical license which, however, will not make the doubts disappear. In fact more and more parents are refusing to do the vaccine and no matter how much measles cases they show on TV, the parents won’t take the chance. No one denies that the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine is doing a lot of good, but from experience, doctors know that most drugs have negative effects too and! some children might have a condition that would be aggravated! by the vaccine. The fact that we have different bodies and internal processes, would recommend for the doctors to do some checkups before vaccinating a child. Treating the children as being the same all over the world and applying the same cure without taking into account the differences is actually supporting Dr Wakefield’s theory.
