Is Tamiflu helping us?
by kristina leskova

If you look around you, read the newspaper are there more healthy people or people diseased by flu? The health is very important and we should take care of it. Best what you can do is to visit your doctor if you feel first symptoms of the flu. And it does not matter if we speak about seasonal or swine flu. Both can be dangerous and deadly. But there are some critics who said that Tamiflu which should stop the flu complications is not enough effective. British researchers looked at Tamiflu and reviewed the health information. They said that there are not enough arguments which would prove that Tamiflu reduces complications like pneumonia. They just confirmed that this drug ! shortens flu symptoms about a day. They warn that benefits of Tamiflu are not sufficient and they emphasize the side effects. British researchers looked at Tamiflu as it is used for seasonal flu but with their conclusion they raised question if Tamiflu is a good medicine for swine flu. Maybe you ask yourself how this is possible. The governments spent so much money for research. But World Helath Organization did not agree with this conclusion. They collected data from countries all around the world and they claim that Tamiflu can reduce the severity of swine flu symptoms, but they agree that this drug should not be for people at risk like pregnant women, older people, children or people who have chronical medical disease. WHO said that there are fewer hospitalizations and deaths. WHO recommends that this drug should be used only on doctor´s recommendation.
