Presidential Flu

Warning to people everywhere: the swine flu is not a joke and can hit anyone. All the campaigns that most countries started in preparation for the cold seasons should be taken serious as this type of flu can sometimes lead to one’s death. The call for vaccination was launched so that people prevent contamination with the virus or the possibility of mutation with the normal flu. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, famous or a regular person. The swine flu doesn’t make any discrimination. For instance, this weekend President Alvaro Uribe was diagnosed with the swine flu. The first symptoms began to manifest on Fr! iday, but he is not quarantined and none of his family members or associates have presented any symptoms. President Uribe is one of the 621 cases that Columbias National Health Institute acknowledged. Moreover, he is the second President to have contacted the disease after Costa Rican President Oscar Arias. On Friday Uribe also attended an UNASUR group summit where he pleaded in favour of teaming up with US in the war on drugs. Due to the rapid transmission of the swine flu, there are serious concerns regarding the health of other South American presidents who were present at the summit held in Bariloche, Argentina. According to the official press release the leaders have been contacted and all the necessary measures will be taken to assure that none of them had contracted the disease. It is obvious that the swine flu is merciless and it can hit anyone, thus people should respond to the vaccination call and hope that the sun will stay u! p and bright for a very long period of time. Don’t forge! t to tak e your flu shot and stay away from anyone who might seem to be infected or at least take the necessary steps to prevent it. Surf well and enjoy!
