Health Care Concerns

Ted Kennedy did not live to see his health reform being validated by the government, nor will it happen any time soon. It was his biggest dream and Obama feels responsible to make it happen as that was a promise he made in return for the support given by the last of the Kennedys during the presidential elections. However, this promise will cost greatly the US president as voices are already rising against him. Due to the recession, the management of funds became the main concern of governments all over the world. For instance, US Congress is thinking of plans to get them through the economical downturn and will deliberate o! n the subject next Wednesday when lawmakers will meet up after a short holiday during which they recovered from the exhausting job in exotic trips or just enjoying life in a really nice villa. President Obama is also planning to speak at the meeting in support of his health initiative that is meeting harsh scrutiny from the public and the Republicans who consider his plan too costly and a threat to private insurers. As a matter of fact, private insurers are already getting a defensive position claiming that Obama’s plan is a direct blow into their system. Why would they think that? Because the health care program supposes a greater competition among insurers and incentives. The president’s speech comes before the deadline of September 15 when the White House requested the lawmakers to come up with a plan. It should bring Barack Obama again in the top of preferences and show he is committed to the approval of the health care program that ! he thought to the very last detail assuring that it will be co! st effec tive. Will he succeed? Stay close and we shall see!
