Already sick of health plan?

I don’t know how about you, but I am already sick of that health care plan and bills and constant tension between Democrats and Republicans. And I am even not an American. But really, who should be interested in it anyway? People have their own problems: problems with finding new job, problems with providing enough food for kids and family, who cares about never ending dispute between Obama and the others? For those like me, who are not monitoring situation every day, can seem everything like a total mess. Long months we were reading about Obama’s health plan which wasn’t able to obtain approval of Republicans. Now Sen. Max Baucus decided to unveil a detai! led outline of his legislation on Wednesday, but without Republican support. That support of Republicans who were also involved in this, at first bipartisan, negotiations. Baucus’ legislation requires for individuals to buy insurance, for those who will not do so there will be financial penalties. Larger businesses will have to defray the cost of any government subsidies according to qualification of the employees what is going to be much bigger charge for them than providing basic coverage. But who will vote for such legislation? Democrats are worrying that health insurance subsidies will neither be sufficiently generous nor even available to enough people. Some Democrats even think that Baucus’ proposal won’t be able to protect middle-class families from high healthcare expenses. Caucus is defending: “We are doing our very best to make an insurance requirement as affordable as we possibly can, recognizing that we are trying to get this bill under $! 900 billion total.” In my opinion there is one big and f! undament al problem: there is an effort to create a perfect legislation. Good enough for people, good enough for the economy of USA, cheap and in such form which could be supported not only by Democrats but Republicans as well. But this is not possible. And it never will.
