Nowadays, we are living in a hectic environment. Each day we are meeting with new technologic inventions, and our lifestyle is being changed. As a result of this also the conditions of our health is different as it used to be before. Chinese researchers found out that the number of strokes caused by brain blood clots increased each year in Beijing by approximately 9 percent. Specialists thought that this is a consequence of unhealthy lifestyle and trends on economic prosperity. On the other hand, according to Chinese researchers, the number of people dying of those strokes is falling thanks to improving health care. They thought that authorities should shoot on reducing risk by including diets. "The challenges include better control of stroke risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and obesity," wrote Dong Zhao, lead author of the study and director of Department of Epidemiology at the Beijing Anzhen Hospital. He added that very important aspect is an increasing necessity of a prevention of recurrent strokes in survivors and also need of rehabilitation services for these people. But the reality looks differently. The amount of smokers almost did not change and number of people suffering from obesity and high cholesterol levels increased in the times of transforming China's economy. Also dangerous factors as total fat intake per person in a day, average blood cholesterol levels and number of diabetics rose in last years, in China. This explains increase in ischemic heart disease deaths. On the other side hemorrhagic strokes fell by 1.7 percent. Zhao said: "Increased access to healthcare and improved blood pressure control are the most likely explanations for the decrease in hemorrhagic strokes."
