No more fat people in Britain
by Nina Gotzmannova
All the people around the globe knows, that fat people are in the United States and United Kingdom, their successful life allows them to eat at restaurants, pick unhealthy but tasty foods and eat more than they would do normally. On the other side the privilege to have much money is because they spent unbelievable amounts of time at work and don't even have time to eat. Only in fast-food. Another unhealthy habit and the population grows bigger and bigger. The government wants to change that. It is known that obese people have increased cholesterol and are in bigger risk of coronary heart disease. The Health Secretary Alan Johnson has asked the Food Standards Agency to look at the risk and maybe force the food industry to using less unhealthy and dangerous trans fat. The government isn't acting with any reason. The newest report about health of the population has showed that by the year 2050 may be obese more than half of men and almost half of women. The effect government is worried about is the financial effect. Obesity-related disease already cost the National Health Service about £1 billion and the government £ 2.6 billion. In 2050 the sum of the money spend on obese people may be £ 45.5 billion and this number scared the British government. If people will obey that they weight is only their private thing, the government will have a strong argument against it. They may ratify a law saying if people would not like to participate in the governmental health program, they will pay all the cost of their medical treatment caused by obesity by themselves. And that's not someone would like to do.
